AI Voiceovers
Whether you’re a fan or not, AI VOs are starting to be used in the industry, appearing on campaigns on major networks and targeted social media ads.
Although they can be a bit stiff, AI VOs are a budget-friendly option best suited for shorter (6-10s) videos. Pairing them with a louder music track and bright imagery also helps to cover current limitations of the technology.
That said, where they really shine is in audio cloning—which is incredibly useful when you’re stuck with limited audio clips, no access to the original speaker, and a need to change the take/dialogue. With the right permissions, East Line can use audio cloning to get the product you want, without the hours of editing that reconstructing from original audio would take. There is also the emerging market of fully licenced AI voiceovers of iconic voices. Want Judy Garland or Michael Caine in your campaign? You can have their AI clones if that is the right sound.
AI Music and Composition
We have been using neural network tools for almost a decade to repair audio that was seemingly unrepairable. However, it is a manually intensive task requiring a lot of time and a high budget. Using AI to streamline the process of applying these neural network tools can speed up the process and lower costs. AI repair isn’t foolproof, but when it works, it can save a lot of time and money.

Dialogue Repair
The Time has come, and AI music generation is here to stay. This is the paradigm shift in music generation for this decade. It will have the same impact that we got moving from 2inch tape machines and million dollar analog consoles, to the all digital workflow. This is that next shift, and for engineers, producers and composers like me, this is incredibly exciting. It allows us to go from the raw spark of an idea in the brain to workable demo so much faster, and allows us to move quickly to the right idea for the project.
With the tools we now have available, stock music is officially dead. Raw demos, script ideas and half-finished ideas can now be fleshed out in a matter of minutes rather then days, and shaped into high quality outputs. The real beauty of it is in the multi-track outputs that allow the track to quickly be imported and modified as required.
East Line Audio is currently using AI tools to update composer and producer back-catalogues, generating quick pitch music tracks, stem splitting existing stock music for custom mixes and generating production demos for music clients.
